Northern Lights is a nice screensaver which shows lots images of auroras borealis (or northern lights) which occur in the Arctic and Antarctic regions. The effect is a natural phenomenon caused by the collision of energized particles in the atmosphere. The images are of different sizes and they appear in the center of screen. Most of them don't cover the screen completely, so you can see a black background. The images are pretty impressive and attractive, and they are shown one after the other in a sort of slideshow. The images are automatically shuffled, so you cannot customize their order of appearance.
Unfortunately, the screensaver doesn't include sounds or music, and neither can you add your own, which is really a shame. From the Settings menu, you will be able to customize the transition speed and the exit conditions. You will also notice other options such as "Play background music" or "Show image captions" which are not available for this screensaver.
In short, if you are looking for a simple but nice screensaver to decorate your screen, Northern Lights may be a nice choice.
